The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation serves as a leader in the fight against breast cancer and is one of the world's largest private contributors to breast cancer research and community outreach. The Komen Foundation is fighting to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by funding research grants and supporting education, screening and treatment projects in communities around the world.

The Street
Angels are
proud of the
part we have played the past two years in the fight against breast
cancer. We are committed to being a positive agent of change. However
there is still much more to do. And until a cure or cures are found, we
must continue to work to make a difference in the lives of people
affected by breast cancer.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in African American women
(101.5 per 100,000) and the second leading cause of death among African
American women, exceeded only by lung cancer. Breast
cancer in men is rare, but it does happen, in 2006 it is estimated that
1,690 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and 460 will die from
it. Together we can change this. Join the Street Angels in our quest to
end breast cancer, make a donation, and make a difference!
Because of The Street Angels' commitment to aid in finding a cure for breast cancer, the group was featured on channel 11 news. Click the play button below to view the footage.
